Annual Awards Banquet

The 2007 Annual Vintage/Post-Vintage Awards banquet for the AHRMA Northeast Region will be held on Saturday, February 23rd, 2008 at the Quality Inn and Suites (formally the Victoria Inns) Pittston, Pennsylvania (between Wilkes-Barre and Scranton just off I-81)

Our evening will commence with a cocktail hour open bar at 5:30 p.m., a buffet dinner at 7:00 p.m., and the awards presentation at 8:00 p.m. The first 50 who get their reservation in will receive a world class Metro Coffee mug courtesy of the great folks at Metro Racing! All reservations for the banquet need to be in by February 2nd 2008!
We will once again offer you the opportunity to display some of your prized possessions. Show us your latest effort to restore some old iron! We will be presenting “Kool Bike” awards. One for vintage, one for PV. Please drain all fluids and if possible, let us know you’re bringing one of your babies –
We will again be hosting a silent auction this year. Some real neat and rare stuff will be on hand. All proceeds will go to benefit the NE region. Bring your check book! Some of this stuff is “one of a kind” donated by some of our past pro friends! We will also have those top-notch special raffle prizes, the 50/50 raffle (for those who like “green” versus “stuff”), and the ever-popular meat-and-potatoes racing supplies as door prizes. No one goes home empty-handed! Once again, every racer who attends will receive a special plaque (even if you only raced once!); commemorating their 2007 racing season (please indicate racers’ names and classes on your ticket order form). A special room rate (double or single) has been secured. When you call for reservations (570-655-1234), mention that you are attending the AHRMA Northeast Region Banquet to be assured of our special rate.
Remember, 100% of the net proceeds from the banquet activities go to defray the cost of the 2008 racing season. Some of you may not know that we receive only a small percentage of our annual budget from AHRMA. All other overhead costs (mailings, award plaques, 2008 web site, etc.) must be raised through our ongoing fundraising activities. We also could never make it without the loyal and generous support of our sponsors and individual donations. Make sure to thank them by throwing some business their way and thanking our individual donators directly.
So, let’s hear from you ASAP! Please use the attached ticket reservation form to secure your seats at the banquet. Just mail back with your check asap.
